First method:

1. In order to switch off the phone hold down the Power key for a short while.
2. After that press and hold the Volume Down button for about 2-3 seconds.
3. While still holding these keys press the Power Button for a short while and release all buttons.
4. In this step choose option Recovery by using to scroll Volume Down, and to confirmVolume Up.
5. When you see an Android logo press and hold Volume Up for a while.
6. While still holding the Volume Up button, press and release the Power button.
7. Then press Volume Down to choose "wipe data/factory reset", and then push the Power button to confirm.
8. Select "Yes--delete all user data". Use Volume Down button to scroll and Power button to select.
9. To restart the phone, select "reboot system now".
10. Success! The hard reset has just been performed.

Second method:

1. If the display is off, press the Power button to turn it back on.
2. Afterwards go to Settings and then to Backup & reset.
3. Tap Factory Data Reset and select Reset Phone. 
4. Choose Erase Everything if you are sure you want to clear all your data. 
5. Select OK to confirm the whole operation.
6. Well done!
